b! has been DJ-ing since the tender age of 15 and played his first set at Batchwood Hall when he was 16. He was playing Drum&Bass for several years until he got a taste for House music when mixing with other DJ’s including Phill Leggatt and Leigh Lerwill. Local residencies playing US Garage and Soulful House soon followed but the love for the D&B was still there. The record collection expanded further as he aged and he developed an obsession with using 4 decks and mixing different styles and tempos of music that cannot be beatmixed – where there’s a will there’s a way! This culminated in a hook up with turntablist Mr.Bristow and an unusual 6 deck set at Bar Oporto in London. The fusion of House, Techno, Breaks, Hiphop and D&B got a surprisingly positive reaction considering the very mixed crowd and b! & Mr.Bristow decided to put some more work into this format. They entered a DJ competition and were soon offered a residency which ran for 3yrs, right up until b! moved to Ibiza full time. Sadly, with half the duo in the UK and half in Ibiza, the six deck mixing came to an end but they gave it a good send off with a great party at Hidden for FNUK. b! also had weekly and monthly residencies for Orange Groove and beeZwax at Radio Days, Batchwood and The Glasshouse.
He still enjoys playing eclectic sets and always includes a few random surprises but these days is usually to be found playing house and techno. In the summers of 2006 & 2007 he was a regular guest at Bora Bora in Playa den Bossa and Guarana in Sta.Eulalia and he also had two sets at superclub Privilege; plus a whole host of one-off sets at parties around the island.
His past work in Ibiza includes:- Privilege, The Rock Bar, BoraBora, Guarana , Ibiza Underground, Lo Cura, Aura and Funkin Irie. Other work elsewhere has included Barbu (Madrid), Reflexions (Rhodes), Palm Beach (Rhodes), Hidden, The Watersplash, The Bell, Barneys, The Horn and just about every other bar in St.Albans.
There are plenty of mixes on the left and most of them are multi-genre but here are a few pointers:- Versability (classic house, breaks, and more), Simplicated (sunset techno), My Mate Marmite (house & techno), Lucky Dip (hippety trip hop funk).
For 2008 b! Has been chosen as resident DJ for Jo Mills’ “Looking Glass” parties which are part of Pete Tong’s huge new “Wonderland” club night in Ibiza. He also has weekly residencies at Guarana in Santa Eulalia, Cap des Falco and several guest sets soon to be announced…..

Musical diversity and technique is the key with Andy Baxter, resident at Pacha, Ibiza since 2002. Born in Birmingham, Baxter started buying records from the age of nine. It was whilst hosting his own radio show on BPM that he acquired his keen ear for a cross spectrum of musical genres. He has excelled at mixing all forms of music, but it is House that will always remain his passion
Andy Baxter is the only DJ to have played every room and every genre of music in his 5 years at Pacha Ibiza. Whilst in Ibiza he has played at Space for We Love, Manumission, James Blunt’s Album launch, Puff Daddy’s yacht, Sasha’s birthday and the famous Def Jam villa parties, to name but a few. He has also played the best clubs in Europe, Asia, The Americas and Africa. During this summer of 2007 Baxter was the resident at the legendary Café Mambo spinning day, night and the breathtaking sunsets. He currently holds residencies in his native Birmingham and Ibiza.
2004 was also the year Baxter brought his sound to disk – mixing the Renaissance Presents: Pacha compilation (along with Neneh Cherry) and later CD2 of the Pacha Summer compilation (along with Pete Tong). He has also done numerous remixes for Pacha Recordings including the acclaimed Ole for Wally Lopez.
Andy was nominated as Best Ibiza DJ at the 2004 Ibiza awards and was voted by DJ Mag as one of the Top 10 Ibiza Residents. Other accolades include being personally invited by Danny Tenaglia to open for him at his famous Be Yourself parties, who then later recommended Andy as the DJ to watch in the DJ Mag top 100 edition. In 2006 he was invited to debut on Radio 1 for Pete Tongs Essential Selection
Here we have a true DJ that is most comfortable in the mix. His diversity and experience have given him unique technical abilities and a great ear for music and the dancefloor. If it is Underground Electro or Chunky House, we present a man that will rock it…
For summer 2008 Andy Baxter’s most exciting project is his brand new night at Pacha Ibiza. “Tronica” will be held every Thursday in the Global room at David Guetta’s Fuck me I’m Famous parties. Confirmed guests include Mutiny, Dan Ghenacia, Jimpster and Rui da Silva. |

Nicc Johnson is truly a global citizen - born to a Dutch mother and English/Southafrican father he speaks 4 languages and at his young age has traveled great distances. He has lived in Amsterdam, Ibiza, and Madrid but has finally settled on Ibiza for the second time. He moved to Ibiza with his mother at the age of 13; where through a friend, he was soon introduced into the world of the DJ. Nicc started off at 15 in his room with two dodgy turntables and a mixer, but 2yrs later he was already playing in the boutique of the world famous Pacha Ibiza. Nicc also played guitar in a jazz and blues band as a young teenager and this gave him a profound understanding of music – DJing was the next logical step and the electronic music scene has sparked his interest further. His hunger for musical knowledge is evident in any one of his sets as he is not shy to experiment with different sounds and styles. Nicc Johnsons sets are predominatly influenced by the sounds of soul, blues and funk music which are the styles that inspire him the most. The elements of these musical genres can be found in many shapes and forms in electronic music and he always seeks these elements in house music - deep, funky or minimal, but always with soul. This soul is not only from the music he selects in a set, but from the vibe and emotion that he provokes from his crowd. Nicc had a busy year in Ibiza in 2007 with residencies for Mn2S, Grial and Guarana plus regular slots at El Divino and the Funky Room at Pacha.
His past work has included sets at:- Ibiza: Grial, Pacha, Blues bar, Funkin írie terrace, Mao rooms (china white), Rock bar, Aura, Guarana Amsterdam: NL Lounge, Kiss. Madrid: Joy eslava (resident), MOMA, Barbu (Resident), Cafe la palma, Gotiva |

Born in Bristol, from 12 years old David spent his adolescent years in Spain, starting with Marbella. This place was famous for its nightlife and by the age of 18 David was already helping run a bar with friends. After a brief spell working back in the UK and travelling he set down in Ibiza, in need of some new scenery and a summer job. It was 1992.
After a few years as a travelling barman, working in Space, Pacha, and 3 years running his own place in Barcelona David took to the decks. After cutting his teeth on the Barcelona scene he was holding residencies back in Ibiza at Salinas Beach, Pacha, Manumission (including the infamous Motel – ouch…) and everyone’s favourite hangout in Ibiza port, The Rock Bar. In 1999 the We Love crew made him resident of their HOME club in London where he became ensconced in the music scene working for Skint records and playing in London and Brighton. By the time of the club’s premature demise he was playing regularly around Europe and in 2002 moved to Zurich.
With the addition of Dc10 to the list of must-go destinations in Ibiza David saw his chance to try out his more eclectic approach to dj-ing previously overlooked in a scene dominated by tribal, progressive and commercial house sounds. Electro, breaks and rockier sounds more were starting to get played out there and after an 8 week stint playing at Dc10’s Circo Loco Darren Hughes and the We Love crew took him back on board as resident inside Space on Sundays alongside James Zabeila. The change of sound from these two drew the crowds in as the terrace wound things up outside. Throughout the last 4 summers David has rocked Space week in week out, putting together sets of some of the most forward-thinking sounds in the club scene previously overlooked in Ibiza`s sunny environment, but still capturing the imagination of the die-hard house fans that the island attracts. An eclectic approach to the current wave of minimal, electro and tech house, incorporating italo, punk funk and spaced-out disco has gained him a reputation as a dj who never fails to surprise crowds with a modern, darker and more twisted take on the Balearic ethos.
David spent two winters based in Zurich where he toured for Sleepless Nights and was responsible for the Ibiza Reunion parties. He was also resident DJ at Club Q and had regular gigs for other promoters on the scene. Winter 2005/6 saw him re-locate to London, starting as resident of Tim Sheridans new after hours project, Very Very Very Wrong at Turnmills, and Ditched disco at TBar. After another fun filled summer in Ibiza with his We Love residency, David spent the winter of 2006/7 touring Brazil and Argentina, flying the flag for WeLove in Sao Paolo, the famed Warung Club in Santa Catarina, Cozumel in Porto Alegre and Opera Bay in Buenos Aires. He also played constantly in central Europe and London with monthly residencies in Madrid, Zurich and Amsterdam. In summer 2007 David finally made the decision to settle permanently in Ibiza. He continued his residency for We Love at Space and is now a partner in the excellent Lo Cura bar in Ibiza’s trendy port area. David is the resident DJ at Lo Cura all year round and he will also be touring South America again in the winter of 2007/8.
For 2008 it’s business as usual with David’s weekly residency at We Love Space…. |
